Have you seen Monara, a spiritual continuation of Crunchbang? There are 32 & 64 bit live isos at sourceforge. http://sourceforge.net/projects/crunchbangmonara
Its getting good comments.
I have the 32 bit one. The Crunchbang Waldorf had been upgraded to Jessie 8.1, tint2 reinstalled, some pipemenus, scripts are redone for Jessie. Printer and other apps have to be installed manually. The welcome script upgrades to the install date, but not all other apps. No meta packages, or link to them.

Await Semplice Stable.

Semplice for Workstations is what will be the stable version of Semplice. G7 already posted a thread on it smile

Yup, I knew about Monara after reading about some controversy about the developer's publicity manners some Distrowatch Weeklies ago.

Haven't tried it yet, though.
